Abstract:

There are 39 volumes of printed documents of the British Foreign Office entitled "Confidential Print Borneo and Sulu, 1844-1906" (FO 572) in the National Archives (formerly Public records Office) at Kew, a suburb of London. In this paper, I will consider how Sulu was separated from Borneo and when Borneo came under the British from data provided in these documents.
