Abstract:

The area popularly known throughout Iligan City and neighboring places as Kabaru is actually part of the larger community known as Hinaplanon. The demarcation between Hinaplanon and Kabaru, however, is obscure and no one seems to know exactly where Hinaplanon ends and Kabaru begins. What is certain is that Kabaru is the more widely known name of the place although it does not even appear in the map of the city of Iligan.
