Abstract:

The Philippine Revolution is rife with accounts of the pragmatism of the Filipino elite who did not hesitate to side with the powers-that-be in order to protect its self-vested interests. However, the Ilocano elite was an exception as he showed enthusiasm in his support for the cause of the revolution.
