Geronima T. Pecson: First Woman Senator of the Philippines

Abstract:

Rising from the stigma that the Filipino woman is destined to domesticity and the homes, Geronima Pecson raised the dignity of the Filipino woman and proved that she, too, like her Filipino counterpart can become a productive citizen. Pecson harmonized her duties at home with those of her duties to God and country.
