Respondents’ Perception of Maguindanao after the 2009 Massacre

Abstract:

Mass Media influenced people’s mind, thus, it has a social responsibility. This paper examines the second level agenda setting on the issue of the Maguindanao 2009 massacre and its effects on the respondents. It made used of a researcher-made questionnaire which was validated by experts and has gone through reliability testing. The study shows that through media coverage of an event the public will develop an opinion about the event based on the type of coverage the news gives.
