ASEM (Asia-Europe Meeting). Bestandsaufuame, Moglichkeiten und Grenzen einer interregionaler Kooperation [ASEM (Asia-Europe Meeting). Achievements, Possibilities and Limits of an Interregional Cooperation].

Alfredo C. Robles Jr.

Abstract:

Since 1998 the Deutscher Akademischer Austauschdienst (DAAD, German Academic Exchange Service) has been financing an exchange program between the Political Science Institute of Giessen in Germany, and the Faculty for Social and Political Sciences of Parahyangan University in Bandung, Indonesia. This book by Indonesian scholar Andreas Pareira on Asia-Europe interregional cooperation, which was submitted as a doctoral dissertation to the University of Giessen in 2003, is thus itself a product of Asia-Europe cooperation. Pareira's study is probably the first book-length manuscript on ASEM in German, as Bersick's work (1998] is considerably shorter.
