Abstract:

How does one steeped in business, specificallymerchant banking, view the humansituation and the world? Can the conceptsand principles, learned and applied in a mercantileendeavor, be extended on a largerwhole to serve as the basis of a philosophicalsystem?Ramon K. llusorio was educated as aneconomist in the Philippines and abroad(Fordham University, UniversityofMichigan,and New York University). He involved himselfin the financial world, first by being partof financial institutions and then, subsequently,organizing Multinational InvestmentBancorporation in 1972. Based on hiswork and from practical experiences, he synthesizedthe lessons learned and recordedthem, at an admitted risk to himself, in a book,Human Involution.
