Helicopter Parenting of the Students at Lagro Elementary School

Abstract:

Parental interest and support for children is generally considered positive. But now highly involved parents have been portrayed as “helicopter parents”, hovering over their children in ways that could interfere with learning and development.  The researcher sought to find out the relationship of helicopter parenting on the academic performance of students.  The quantitative and qualitative research methods, were used and descriptive correlation method were used to gather the basic data needed for the study. Seventy nine teachers of Lagro Elementary School, Congressional District 2, Quezon City were chosen as respondents
