Abstract:

In this study, the researcher wants to deepen his knowledge on technological phenomenon based on the point of views of two well-known philosophers of the twentieth century. He focuses his study on the critical theory presented by Herbert Marcuse basing it from his One-Dimensional Man and Karol Wojtyla on technology and progress based on his collectedEncylicals and Pastoral Letters. The researcher discusses the two philosophers in a comparative way, showing their similarities and differences on technology in general. After which he shows his findings towards the end.
