Abstract:

The study aimed to design a device which can contribute to the study of sound. The device was capable of measuring sound level. It contained different weighting networks to discriminate against different frequencies. The design was able to display the range in decibels.

Experimental development and descriptive approaches were the methods used to check the practicality and functionality of the device.

Findings of the study indicated satisfactory results in terms of sound measurement and display in decibels.
