Improving Engineering Education

Brother J. J. Benedict

Discipline: Education

Abstract:

This paper aims: 1) to re-examine engineering education from the two-fold perspectives of industry and education; 2) to study the problems in the light of these two-fold perspectives; 3) to single out and reemphasize solutions to the problems; which, for the most part, have been previously proffered by countless highly qualified predecessors and contemporaries; and 4) to stimulate "dialogue" and, more important, action that will result in the improvement of engineering education.
