Abstract:

Biofilm forms a great deal of resistance for microbial agent. In order to eliminate the formation of biofilm, an extract must be able to prevent the transport of microbes to a surface, initial attachment, formation of microcolonies, and biofilm maturation. The Minimum inhibitory concentration of M. charantia crude extract and 95% ethanol showed the same result having no visible biofilm formation at .3mL volume of the extract; while in the Minimum bacterial concentration showed a much higher susceptibility of Pseudomonas spp colony in .3ml of the M. charantia extract.
