Shifting Paths: Exploring The Dynamics Of Specialization Shifts Among Senior High Students

Rowena S. Ramos

Discipline: Education

Abstract:

The study aimed to determine the factors that influence the shifting specialization of Senior High School students. By exploring this dynamic relationship, this study aimed to gain a deeper understanding of the career assessment of incoming Senior High School Students. Five (5) participants in the study were chosen through purposive-comprehensive sampling. The study used a qualitative research method. Based on the thematic analysis used to generate conceptual codes into categories, which were organized into themes using the NVIVO Software application, one factor that influences most is the individual and parental factor. This suggests that implementing rigorous career guidance in schools is essential. Parents must be educated on how to effectively deal with their children, considering the psychological effects on the learning process and the decisions made on their behalf.
