Abstract:
Program outcomes in Human Resource Management (HRM) are defined as the specific
learning goals and objectives that students are expected to achieve upon completing an
HRM program. This study, "Employers’ Perception on Demonstration of Graduates~
Program Outcomes," evaluated the perception of employers regarding the demonstration of
program outcomes by TCGC BSBA-HRM graduates, as defined by the Institute of Business
and Financial Services (IBFS). It specifically aimed to assess employers’ perceptions of the
graduates’ level of demonstration of program outcomes, identify the outcomes least
demonstrated by the graduates in business establishments, and determine employer
suggested enhancements to improve the quality of instruction in the BSBA-HRM program.
Findings revealed that employers strongly agree that graduates demonstrate most BSBA
HRM program outcomes effectively, particularly in areas such as collaboration and conflict
resolution. However, graduates were perceived to least demonstrate proficiency in
innovative thinking and business development. The qualitative phase unveiled several
suggestions highlighting the necessity for curriculum enhancements that emphasize
instructional quality, labor law education, and behavioral studies. The study concluded that
while graduates excelled in key program outcomes such as collaboration and conflict
resolution, there is a significant need to focus on developing their skills in innovation,
business idea generation, and adaptability to industry trends. The findings suggest that
strengthening these areas through targeted curriculum improvements and incorporating
practical applications, particularly in labor laws and human behavior, would better prepare
graduates to meet the dynamic demands of the workplace.
