Saloobin ng mga Mag-aaral ng Edukasyon sa Atendans sa Klase: Isang Mixed Methods na Pag-aaral

Abstract:

Ang pagsasaliksik na ito ay naglayong suriin ang saloobin ng mga mag-aaral hinggil sa atendans sa klase sa pakikipag-ugnayan at sa kanilang akademikong pagganap ng mga mag-aaral ng edukasyon sa KCAST. Isinagawa ito gamit ang convergent parallel mixed method desinyo upang sabay na makalap, masuri, at maipakahulugan ang datos na parehong kuwalitatibo at kwantitatibo. Sa kwantitatibong bahagi, isinagawa ang sarbey sa mga mag-aaral ng kursong edukasyon sa isang lokal na kolehiyo sa Davao del Norte. Samantala, IDI at focus group discussion naman ang ginamit sa kwalitatibong bahagi. Ipinakita ng datos na ang mga mag-aaral na may mataas na atedans sa klase ay mas aktibong nakikilahok sa mga talakayan at mas mataas ang marka sa kanilang mga akademikong asignatura. Sa kwalitatibong pagsusuri, lumitaw na ang mga mag-aaral ay may iba’t ibang pananaw tungkol sa kahalagahan ng atendans sa klase, may ilan na naniniwala sa positibong epekto nito sa pagkatuto, habang ang iba naman ay nakararanas ng mga hamon sa regular na pagdalo bunsod ng personal at akademikong salik. Ang pinagsamang resulta ng kwantitatibo at kwalitatibong datos ay nagpapakita ng malinaw na ugnayan sa pagitan ng atendans sa klase at akademikong pagganap. Ang mga natuklasan sa pananaliksik na ito ay makatutulong sa mga guro, administrador, at mag aaral sa pagpapabuti ng mga patakaran sa atendans sa klase at sa pagpapatibay ng disiplina sa pagpasok sa klase upang higit na mapataas ang kalidad ng edukasyon.
