Pagsusuri sa mga Antas ng Wika ng mga Pinoy Bands

Abstract:

Ang pananaliksik na ito ay isang kwalitatibong pag-aaral na gumagamit ng Diskursong Pagsusuri (Discourse Analysis) upang suriin ang antas ng wika at temang nilalaman sa mga kanta ng mga Pinoy bands. Layunin ng pag-aaral na matukoy ang paggamit ng pormal at di-pormal na mga salita tulad ng kolokyal, balbal, lalawiganin, pambansa, at pampanitikan gayundin ang mga tema at mensahe na ibinabahagi sa pamamagitan ng mga kanta. Ginamitan ng Register Analysis Framework ni Halliday (1964) ang pagsusuri sa antas ng wika batay sa field, tenor, at mode, habang ang pagsusuri sa tema at mensahe ng kanta ay isinagawa gamit ang Systemic Functional Linguistic Framework ni Halliday (1961) na nakatuon sa ideational, interpersonal, at textual metafunctions. Mula sa pagsusuri ng 51 kanta ng iba’t ibang Pinoy bands, natuklasan na mas nangingibabaw ang paggamit ng kolokyal at balbal na wika, kasunod ang pambansa at pampanitikan, habang ang lalawiganin ay madalang gamitin. Lumitaw rin na ang mga kanta ay nagpapahayag ng makabuluhang karanasan, damdamin, at pananaw ng mga awtor na tumutugon sa koneksyon ng mang-aawit at tagapakinig. Sa kabuuan, ipinapakita ng pag-aaral na mahalagang sangkap ng awit ang wikang ginagamit at ang pagpili ng mga salita pormal man o di-pormal ay may malaking ambag sa bisa at lalim ng mensahe ng mga kanta ng Pinoy bands.
