Abstract:

This study aimed to develop a new device that can catch the traffic signal violators who beat the red light. It should consist of an improvised traffic light, infrared sensors (transmitter and the receiver), and cell phone. The study sought to determine the efficiency of the performance of the system that would send information about the violators to the government agency concerned. Qualitative and quantitative methods of research were employed to assess the reliability of observations and findings from the developed system. It helped the researchers to prove and understand the principles in conducting the project. Findings of the study revealed that the implemented system was effective in identifying the traffic light signal violators.
